The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE Board Exam 2026 subject-wise marks bifurcation at its official website. All the students who are currently studying in classes 10th or 12th in CBSE Board affiliated schools and are to appear for the final examinations in February – March 2026 can now visit the official website of CBSE at www.cbse.gov.in to check and access the subject wise marks bifurcation.
The notification released by the board announces the maximum marks theory examination, maximum marks practical exam, maximum marks project assessment, maximum marks internal assessment, etc.
The class 10th theory examinations will be conducted for a total of 80 marks, and the internal assessment will carry 20 marks. For the class 12th, the theory exams will carry 80 marks, internal assessment will carry 20 or the practical will be 20, depending of the subject. For some of the class 12th subjects, the theory marks will be 70 and the practical marks will be 30, for some theory marks will be 60 and practical marks will be 40.

The practical examination/ project/ internal assessment for the classes 10th, 12th students of the CBSE board are scheduled to be conducted between January 01, 2026 and February 14, 2026.
It is expected that around 45 lakh students will appear for the final examinations of the academic session 2025-26 from classes 10th and 12th which are scheduled to be held between February 17, 2026 and March 10, 2026 for the class 10th and between February 17, 2026 and April 9, 2026 for the class 12th students.
